I had a moment like that this weekend - I actually stopped and thought about where I was and realized that given the choice, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else on the entire planet. It was extremely...filling. Want to know where I was? I was laying on my roof. Two wonderful people I'm blessed to call my friends were on either side of me...we were laying on a blanket and covered by a blanket (well, I was covered, being in the middle - they were only mostly covered!
) - looking at the stars. Yes, it is still winter here. It was prolly about -10*C. But it was perfect...and cold...but so beautiful! The stars were glorious...even through some clouds...everything was quiet...and I knew it was a perfectly safe place for me - between my two friends. No expectations...demands...just being right there, right then...
Here's to Jess and Lesley for helping me have a wonderful weekend...thanks for making me feel cared for and not alone (hey, Sioux Lookout is kinda far from everywhere!). Guitar Hero...deep conversations...ice cream & strawberries (you're so bossy, Jess!)...time on the roof...deep conversations. ..scaring young girls...spontaneous moments...climbing trees...deep conversations...small amounts of sleep...getting stuck on the roof (still don't know who locked that window)...almost missing the bus...did I mention lots of good deep conversations and not a lot of sleep? I loved it - felt so blessed - and I'm so grateful to you guys for being here and just hanging out.
This is me...thanking God for my friends....these two...and all you others who so know who you are...
...and here's a picture I wasn't sure if I wanted to post on xanga, but since I look the worst of the three...
guess who...LOL

I thought you weren't going to put that picture on xanga..meh can't complain you made me sound like a good friend until the bossy part ..jk..you don't really look the funniest outta all of us..
anyways with the bossy it was probably really good for you to eat the ice cream..just think why..everyone would agree that I was right..

sounds like a wonderful weekend! i'd give quite a lot right now to lay out on the roof and watch the stars in -10*C weather! miss you girl!

hey heidi, i am so excited about seeing you guys in april! and you're right, it's not far off. what i wouldn't give to be there a month before the wedding, but like our moms always said, life just isn't fair. :) thank you for your comment. in no way could i love and let go without the underlying belief that it was God's idea first. it would be a whole lot harder if i knew i was letting pim go and a few years down the road, she'd be killed but that's exactly what God did! amazing, isn't it?

...whew that whole sovereignty vs. will thing...and like you said that faith is not going to be natural. if faith, despite unanswered questions, doesn't come natural then i must just still have alot of rebellion in me, right? ok...wrong thinking, but why do i keep thinking like that? i know its not true. frustrating, to say the least.

OH MY FREAKIN' STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what an AWESOME SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! although, i wish i would've known she was coming- since i don't like surprises... i mean, i like surprises AFTER they're surprises...but, i don't like the process of being surprised...although, my surprise was very well accepted! (with a few speechless moments, and having her poking me to make sure i wasn't dreaming or anything!!! :)) but, it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
